Eandros' eyes softened slightly when he looked at Iliana and he gave her a small smile. "I promise..." he muttered. Then he nodded to his sisters before he strode off.

The two girls' eyes were dark, and they looked long after their brother. "Mama says that Eandros is the best archer there is!" Wila suddenly squealed. "He's a big boy, he can take care of himself! Right Iliana?" Una nodded, and also looked up at Iliana, as if to get the answer right back...

She smiled nervously at him. She couldn’t go with him; she could do nothing but sit there and wait, watch his sisters and wait. Iliana was not good at waiting. “Good,” she said softly as he assured her that he would come back safely. She hoped he would.

She watched as he walked away, the feeling in her stomach like that of a huge knot that was getting tighter. Suddenly she heard Wila from behind her, she turned to look at the girls as Wila told her that their mother said that Eandros was the best archer. “I am sure he is,” she Iliana replied with a smile.

She looked out the door, Eandros was slowly disappearing in the distance and she shut the door and put a smile on. When she looked back at the girls she looked as if everything was fine and there was nothing to worry about. “Yes, he can take very good care of himself,” she assured them. “Now how about we continue that game?” she said with a smile and went over to the two girls.

Eandros got up to Medusel and stood in the back of the room as one of the captains stepped forth. "Eorlingas! There have been seen a great band of orcs passing through not far from here! By command of Lord Eomer we will ride out and meet them!" he exclamied, and when he finnished the hall seemed suddenly extremely busy.

Eandros looked down at his hand and closed it. He knew his hand was still a bit hurt and that riding out now might damage it further, but he didn't have a choice. As many others he strode out of the hall and headed towards his home, not really knowing how to face Iliana. He had rather hoped he could avoid his home, but his armour and his long-bow was there...

The girls looked rather gloomily up at Iliana. "Iliana...? Could you... Rather tell us a story?" Una asked and looked up at her. "One with a happy ending!" Wila added and they both looked up at Iliana. And indeed. They were both worried in their own ways, wanting to hear a story with a happy ending and believing hard that the happy ending would go to their brother as well....
